よくわかりませんが、なんか魅力的な数字が見えるような気がします。
ニュアンスを掴んでみた
長い英文でチンプンカンプンですけど、読んでいるうちにぼくの英検2級の頭脳が反応しだしました。ある程度英語に慣れてると、ボヤーっと英文を見てるだけで、個々の文章が訳せなくても段々とニュアンスが掴めるようになるものです。
わかってきた内容を考えると、どうやらこのメールはどえらい内容ですよ…。
これを送ってくれたのはゲーリー・ワグナーという人で、なんか病気で集中治療を受けてそうこうしてるうちに奥さんとその弁護士にハメられて2年間の懲役を受けたそうです。ひどい。
しかし、刑期を終え、出てきたゲーリーさんの手元には、長い間Umpqua Bankという銀行に預けていた78億ドルの利息1億8000万ドルがあるとのこと。そして、ぼくが銀行を説得すれば、その口座のアカウントをぼくが所有、運営することができるらしい。おそらく、そのままにしとくと奥さんとその弁護士に獲られちゃうから一時的にぼくのほうに権限を移すということなんでしょう。そしてうまく言ったら1億8000万ドルの20%をくれると。だから、「Please help me out if you dont mind.」、つまり、良かったら助けてってことみたいですね。
多分そんなカンジの内容だと思うんですけど、これはいっちょ噛むしかないな！
